A blog about books. Oh, and some other stuff too.

Book Trailers Worth Watching

There are so many great YA books coming out in the next few months… really, it’s a bountiful crop of books!

Here’s a few that are worth checking out…

Holly Black wraps up her amazing Curseworkers series – current sitting with White Cat and Red Glove – with the hotly anticipated Black Heart. New to the series? Check out the series book trailer to fill you in… you won’t be disappointed. April 4, 2012

Kelly Armstrong also has a new release looming. The Calling, sequel to The Gathering continues Maya’s story as she struggles to accept her new reality. I adore these books, and I love Kelley Armstrong as a writer and as a person. She’s wonderful to her fans – young and not-so-young – and she really seems to love what she does. Release date: April 10, 2012

Also on my reading list these days is the hotly-anticipated book by Michael Grant, BZRK. I’m so looking forward to having time in the next few days to read this – I’ve been dying to check it out as it seems like nothing I’ve read before! Hackers and nanos and humour, oh my! Release date: April 3, 2012

Lauren Oliver’s next book in the Delerium trilogy is now out – have you read Pandemonium yet? It’s on the reading pile for me and will be hitting the bedside table soon… here’s the author herself talking about the trilogy and how she sees things as they unravel. Release date: February 28, 2012 (already released)

Delirium trilogy

Finally, the next “hot book” to come out is probably the Veronica Roth book “Insurgent” … I have an ARC waiting for me (thank you to my many blogger friends who believe in sharing!), but haven’t read it yet. The author has been incredibly quiet about the details of the book for fear of spoilers (an amazing level of restraint – it must be so hard for an author not to share info about a book they know and love so intimately), so I couldn’t find a book trailer for Insurgent. Instead, here’s the trailer for Divergent in case you missed it and need to catch up  🙂 Release date: May 1, 2012
