A blog about books. Oh, and some other stuff too.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled #readathon…

…. to give you a mental break!

I’ve finished Loon Island by Donna Firby Gamache (140 pages). It’s a high interest/low level style of book for middle school/young adult, and it’s pretty good. Fast paced, with enough adventure to keep you going. I find the flaw in these books lies in a lack of character development, purely due to the short length of the novel, and this one is no exception. The resolution is a little pat (again, due to the nature of the book), but it’s a good read.

Onto The Vampire Stalker by Allison VAn Diepen next… meanwhile, here are some fun cartoons about reading to keep you going. Credit to http://www.glasbergen.com for the comics as noted!
