Next week I will be participating in the blog tour for a fabulous new book from HarperCollins Canada entitled “The Silence of Bonaventure Arrow” by Rita Leganski. I can’t say enough about this wonderful book … but what exactly I’ll say you will have to wait to read. There will be five stops on this blog tour, and we will all be sharing our thoughts about this very unusual read. In addition, there will be some fun extras, including a top five from yours truly and a giveaway for a finished copy of the book, courtesy of HarperCollins Canada.
The Savvy Reader at HarperCollins has this to say about the book:
Have you ever read a book that is so wonderful you have trouble describing it to people because of an overwhelming fear of not doing it justice? This is how I feel about The Silence of Bonaventure Arrow, a book published by HarperCollins Canada that will be released on Tuesday. This debut novel by Rita Leganski is one that my coworkers and I hold very close to our hearts; it is a story of a young boy who was born mute, but harnesses a gift of wondrous hearing. If there is one thing I can say about The Silence of Bonaventure Arrow, it is that it deals with heavy topics including death, disability, religion and relationships in a very delicate and magical manner. Quite simply, this book is beautiful.
