In Case You Missed It … The Fault In Our Stars Trailer is out!

I know, I know … life is busy. I’m sure that you had so much on your plate today that you completely missed that the trailer for the movie adaptation of John Green’s novel, “The Fault In Our Stars” was released this morning. Shame it wasn’t getting more attention …HA. I think I could hear the screaming from fans all the way out here in the country!

In light of the trailer being leaked online, the official HD version of the trailer was released this morning, and I have to say …. I’m really pleased. I think that this is an adaptation that will compliment the book and that devotees will be happy to watch. My biggest fear with this movie is that it would be transformed from an intelligent and well-written story about two individuals who overcome their fears in order to find love while they are living with cancer into … well, just another teen “sick-lit” story.

Thankfully, this doesn’t seem to be the case, and even this short trailer seems to have a lot of the original dialogue from the book transferred to the movie. What do you think? Will you be lining up to watch this when it’s released? Does it meet your expectations? Is there something you would have liked for the filmmakers to have done differently?

Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort) are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them — and us — on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, based upon the number-one bestselling novel by John Green, explores the funny, thrilling and tragic business of being alive and in love.
